What's in the presentation?

More than ever before, the efficient design and operation of a workspace has an effect on the bottom line. This course explores how furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) can support the creation of more functional workspaces through efficient design methods. Participants will learn how to incorporate FF&E to deliver an environment that is both productive and aesthetically pleasing, contributing to the success and well-being of its occupants. 

This presentation counts toward 1 AIA or IDCEC LU/HSW Credit

Objectives:
  • Identify challenges and opportunities across various vertical markets and what storage solutions can solve those challenges by optimizing FF&E, space, and capacity.

  • Learn how to maximize space utilization through flexible and adaptable layouts in new construction or renovation projects.

  • Explore how to create engaging experiences through strategic zoning, ambiance, and use of technology, by prioritizing accessibility, while utilizing design for business enhancement and brand development.

  • Examine the ways FF&E can contribute to occupant wellness, safety, and LEED Certification by reducing building footprint and integrating lighting solutions, safety features, and security into compact shelving and storage systems.
